Ok, I am now officially in the world of Raw!
Over the course of the long weekend I obtained Lightroom and installed it on my computer.
I am pretty impressed with the features so far, though at this point its a pretty steep learning curve to figure out its full potential.
Was wondering if anyone else here uses the program and could kindly point out any neat features they regularly use, changes in default settings, or links to helpful websites with further info.
Thanks.

Thanks Jorge,
several of those web resource links are new to me, so I'll check them out.
I had never heard of lynda.com, so again, thanks for the advice.

Hi there.............I am using LR2..........or that is i'm trying to use it, it saves all of my images too dark, I use IE8 and have tried Firefox aswell, I've heard the IE wont save colour space but why then do my Gimp and picnik and xnview edited pix save fine?

got any tips for me?...............forever scratching my haed, Marky!

Marky,

Is your monitor calibrated? Actually Lr2 uses ProphotoRGB colors space. so if you do not calibrate your monitor at least I suggest you use this color profile on you monitor.

When saving you images as JPGS be sure to profile them in RGB profile.

I think color management in LR2 is pretty straightforward. A Raw does not have an embedded profile so don't worry about that just calibrate your monitor or as i said at least use Prophoto as default.

Cheers

Jorge
