Hey guys,
I've been checking out this joint fairly frequently lately if not just because it's the only resource on the internet.
I shoot with a Ricoh GXR and I have a Ricoh FF-1 as well.
My GXR has a custom setting of
ISO1600
-0.7EV
Spot Meter
Center Focus
B&W - contrast and sharpness max
The results are posted unedited to http://shapsnots.com
you can see all my work at http://tilley.me
Nice to meet y'all

Hi tilleya,
and a big welcome to the forum, I hope you don't mind I but put "http://" in front of your URLs so that the links would work.
I rather like the water drops image, quite well caught.
Thanks for sharing the images, I was wondering what module/s you have and use?

Cheers

Hi tilleya and welcome on the board! I like your pages. Very nice clean design. And there are some very nice snapshots. Enjoy the forum!

Welcome to the Ricoh forum Tilleya.
I too had a little look around your sites. Those guys on the bikes "crazy"
You shoot predominantly B&W don't you?

Lately I've been shooting these "Shapsnots" because I was wasting so much time setting up my camera for these meaningless shots, editing them, uploading them. Now I just have a shoot it all setting and unless it's a real 'gig' I leave it in that mode. All at my discretion of course.

I don't mind at all. Thank you. I use the A12 module. 50mm. Hoping to pick up the 28mm, but it means a trip to NYC from Canada. Ricoh hasn't had a Canadian distributor since the Ricoh family cuts ties with their Canadian brand Japan Camera- a store of which I work. Getting anything Ricoh in Canada is tough.

I just ordered a Ricoh GXR and decided it was the best camera to make a return to photography on. I really like these photos BTW, are you touching them up with post in photoshop? Or a RAW editor? I was wondering where you learned how to setup your shots so well. Best of luck. My wife thinks I should take classes again, but I don't have the time or money.
