Announcement How to show images & links in signatures

GRuf-Founder
Dear members,

thanks to the import of the old Ricohforum.com, we became a very big community over night. The old Ricoh Forum used a different software and had therefore different technical possibilities/ restrictions. It might make sense to explain the 2 most important advantages of the newer software we are using here.

A. Uploading images

The software we are using at GRuserforum.com is a lot more modern, usability is higher and it is "responsive". Responsive means no matter with what kind of device you visit GRuserforum.com, the software will automatically adapt to your screensize and resolution to give you the best viewing experience. To be able to make this work, you need to upload your images in a specific way, so that they are not only attached as a small thumbnail at the end of a posting.

Please read here about how to present your pictures the best way in this forum software:

It is a lot more fun to see the images in big sizes directly without clicking, especially on smartphones. Z04 Discosmilie

B. Rules for signatures

Each forum has its own rules regarding signatures and also different options in the user profiles. The rules here at GRuserforum.com is that we do not display links within a signature. For links to your website, flickr page etc. pp., please use the field in your userprofile. We have a field there specifically for this.

Please also no coloured text, bold, italic, huge font size etc. to make it not look like a Casino. We all want to have a nice reading experience Z04 Bier01
Because this was not possible in the old Ricohforum, many of you have the old signature with links in it. Please delete them in your signature and put the links into your userprofile.

If you have further questions, please read first the FAQ in and everything in the help subforum:
