R10, Irodio and Auto Rotation

Sorry for such a newbie question.

I just recently got my R10 and I'm really enjoying taking photos with it. I normally upload the photos into my computer using Irodio and under Irodio, the picture rotation is correct (vertical as vertical).

However, when I browse the images in the destination folder with other programs, the picture rotation are all set to horizontal (vertical as horizontal). So when I copy the pictures to another computer, they would all be in horizontal. ACDSee also shows all horizontal. I have spent quite a bit of time searching for solution but I don't know how to fix this.

If anyone has a solution, like having Irodio fix the rotation across all pictures, please let me know. Thank you in advance.

Hello piriya and welcome on board!

I'm afraid, I don't use Irodio. I tried it once or twice, but I think it's useless. I don't have any clue if it saves the changed rotation into the imported photo. The question is, if your other program can read the "rotation" orientation tag from Image Exif or if you have this option turned ON in your other program? ACDSee should definitely be able to rotate photos according of their orientation tag. Just check the ACDSee settings.

I would suggest you to copy the photos from camera to computer using the SD card reader or via USB cable and windows explorer (or another file manager). Simply skip the Irodio step. You don't need Irodio for file transfer. All you need is a decent SD card reader or just USB cable connected from camera to computer (which you probably do anyway while using Irodio?). Then simply drag&drop the files from newly connected drive (found in windows explorer) to your chosen folder.
