Teleconversion (to zoom in) for the GR III?

Hey everyone,

I was wondering why is it that the GRIII has a wide conversion option but no teleconversion to zoom in. And why it's the other way round for the GR IIIX?
Any ideas?

Because it would cannibalise sales. But if you have the IIIx you can use the wide conversion lens.

Can you use the wide conversion lens with GRIIIx? I was under the impression that the wide conversion lena works only with the GA-1 adapter which works only with the GRIII

Some people have tested it over on dpreview and have found the results to be super acceptable.
The camera recongises it asoppose to the teleconvertion lens and adapts the metadata accordingly.
