Ricoh Gate issues

Does anyone else have problems with Ricoh Gate starting up when they connect non-Ricoh hardware to their PCs?

I use Ricoh Gate La (4, 4, 2, 0) on a number of PCs, and have re-installed many times, but every time I connect my Cannon camera or Epson scanner, the Ricoh Gate software pipes up and tries to connect to to it. On some builds it even starts up when I switch the printer on.

I've had a look through the registry entries, and can't find anything obvious.

Does anyone have suggestions?

Hello bigcat and welcome here! Are you sure you really need this Gate La program? To be honest, I found no use for it. Simple card reader is much better solution for downloading photos from camera to PC. Even USB cable and mass storage is better option. So my suggestion to you is to uninstall the "Gate" program and use card reader or usb cable and mass storage.
